Short's Travel Management (Short's) is proud to announce the multi-year renewal of its partnership with Colorado State University (CSU) Athletics, extending a trusted relationship that began in 2017. As the travel management provider for Rams Athletics, Short's will continue to oversee all facets of athletic travel—including charter bus and ground transportation, private air charters, group hotel accommodations, and commercial air reservations—through its Designated Agent Model.
This longstanding partnership has been built on a shared commitment to reliability, service, and excellence. With this renewal, Short's will continue to provide CSU with a dedicated athletic travel specialist who understands the nuances and urgency of collegiate athletics travel and serves as a direct point of contact for coaches, operations staff, and administrators.
"We're proud to extend our partnership with Shorts Travel, whose commitment to excellence and seamless service has made them a great partner to our athletic department. Their support ensures our teams travel with confidence, comfort, and efficiency. We look forward to building on this strong foundation together." – John Weber, Athletic Director
Short's Designated Agent Model is a proven approach in athletic travel, built to deliver continuity of service, increased efficiency, and personal accountability. With a designated point of contact for CSU, the travel experience is streamlined, responsive, and customized to support the Rams' evolving needs.
"Colorado State is a valued and trusted partner, and we're honored to continue supporting their athletic programs," said David LeCompte, CEO of Short's Travel Management. "We know how much coordination, flexibility, and communication is required to make team travel seamless. Our designated agent approach ensures CSU always has a trusted resource working behind the scenes to deliver smart, efficient travel solutions. We're proud to stand with the Rams as they pursue excellence both on and off the field."
About Short's Travel Management
Short's is a family-owned and majority woman-owned private corporation, led by CEO David LeCompte. In 2020, Short's strategically pivoted to exclusively serve collegiate athletics, solidifying its position as the fastest growing provider for athletic teams.
With a client portfolio that is over 95% collegiate sports, Short's supports over 16,000 games, meets, and tournaments annually, assisting more than 200 athletic departments with their regular season travel, in addition to exclusively managing championship travel for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
The Short's logistics team orchestrates more air charters, commercial air, ground transportation, and group hotel accommodations than any other provider in the collegiate team space. Comprised of former collegiate athletes, coaches, business operations and logistics staff, pilots, hotel leaders, gate agents, and dispatchers, Short's understands firsthand the demands of this sector and the critical importance of teams arriving on time
