Borrman Leads Throwers at Jarvis Scott Invite

Strong showings highlight day one of split-squad weekend
Colorado State posted several standout performances as the Rams competed in the Jarvis Scott Invite (Lubbock, Texas) and the Husky Classic (Seattle, Wash.) on day one of the split weekend.
At the Jarvis Scott Invite, Kajsa Borrman delivered a highlight performance in the women's weight throw, winning the event with a mark of 22.10 meters/72-feet-6.25. The throw marked a personal best and moved Borrman to No.3 in CSU program history. Klaire Kovatch added another podium finish in the event, placing third at 19.64/64-5.25, while Makayla Long followed closely in fourth with a throw of 19.48/63-11.
Cameron Kalaf placed third on the men's side in weight throw (20.60/67-7), followed by teammate Adam Hellbom in fourth with a mark of 20.32/66-8.
On the track, Kenny Carpenter led the men's 400-meter dash with a seventh-place finish, clocking 46.64 seconds against a deep national field. Owen Langdon continued his consistent season in the men's 60-meter hurdles, placing fifth (7.85). Neya Jamison picked up a top-six finish in the women's 60-meter hurdles, crossing in a 8.49 seconds.
At the Husky Classic in Seattle, Allison Pippert was impressive in her race in the 3,000, posting a personal best 9:28.65 which is good for No. 8 in CSU history. Chris Henry paced the Rams in the men's distance events, finishing 23rd in the 3,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 8:02.67. Davis Rydman turned in a strong effort in the men's 5,000, placing 20th with 14:19.94.
Looking Ahead
Colorado State is set to take on the final day of the Jarvis Scott Invite and the Husky Classic tomorrow. Another flock of Rams will be heading to the Mountain Lion Open in Colorado Springs tomorrow as well.
