Colorado State cross country travels to Columbia, Missouri, this week for the Gans Creek Classic, a competitive early-season meet and an opportunity for the Rams to showcase their talent against elite programs. CSU began the season with a men's team title at the Wyoming Invitational before sending a limited squad to Denver for last week's Roadrunner Invitational.

Meet Notes

Colorado State earned a men's team victory at the Wyoming Invitational to open the season, with five runners placing within the top eight and tallying 23 points total. CSU sent a limited group of four runners on each side to the Roadrunners Invitational in Denver, forgoing a full scoring team in favor of developing its younger athletes. Freshman David Williams led the men, finishing in 26:44.61, while senior Mari Konold led the women, finishing in 22:59.14 and placing 12th overall.

The Gans Creek Classic will be Colorado State's third meet of the season and its biggest challenge thus far, competing alongside ranked programs from across the nation. Following Friday's meet, CSU will travel to Terre Haute, Indiana for the Pre-National Invitational scheduled for Oct. 16.
