Bio
SENIOR (2015-16): Had a team-most eight singles victories, competing eight times at the No. 2 position (4-4)... Tied a team best with five doubles wins while competing with partner Madison Porter... All five wins came from the No. 1 position...Won four singles matches in a row late in the year... Had a team-most six doubles wins during the fall season, going 6-4 with Madison Porter... Also earned one singles victory... Earned Mountain West Academic All-Conference honors for the second year in a row.
JUNIOR (2014-15): Won 10 total singles matches, including four in duals… Competed in the No. 3 and 4 positions, earning three victories at the No. 4 spot… Competed with four doubles partners, recording a pair of victories in the No. 2 position… Added three additional doubles victories during the fall season, including one with her twin sister, Laia… Earned Mountain West Academic All-Conference honors.
MARQUETTE (2012-14): As a freshman in 2012-13, put together an overall singles record of 7-10, with six of those wins coming in dual matches… Saw singles action at the No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 positions, having played most of the time in the No. 3 slot… Recorded a doubles record of 11-13 in her first collegiate season (10-13 in duals)… As a sophomore in 2013-14, compiled a 21-12 overall record, going 11-6 in singles competition and 10-6 in doubles… The .647 singles winning percentage was best on the team… Earned a singles victory over Butler in the BIG EAST tournament at the No. 4 position… Named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team as a freshman.
PRE-COLLEGIATE: Attended Menendez y Pelayo… Participated in the 2010 Champion of Catalunya under-18 doubles tournament and was a semifinalist in the singles division… Represented Spain in several national tournaments… Captured WTA points while competing for Real Club de Tennis Barcelona (2007-12)... Was also an accomplished skier and gymnast.
PERSONAL: Born Sept. 29, 1994 in Barcelona, Spain... Parents are Albert and Imma Hernandez Soler... Has an identical twin sister, Laia, who also played for the CSU tennis program... Majoring in business administration.
