Bio
SENIOR (2015-16): Competed in 16 singles matches from the No. 1 position, all but three on the season... Earned victories over CSU-Pueblo (Feb. 5) and Colorado College (Feb. 20)... The win over the Tigers came in a tiebreaker - 7-6 (7-0), 7-5... Had two doubles wins while competing with partner Maddie Buxton... Ranked second on the team with five doubles wins during the fall season, going 5-4 with Buxton... Also earned one singles victory... For the second year in a row, earned Mountain West Academic All-Conference honors.
JUNIOR (2014-15): Won a team-most 13 singles matches, including four in dual-match play… Primarily competed at the No. 3 spot, in addition to time at No. 4 and 5… Went 5-8 in doubles play, including one against No. 54 New Mexico (April 12), helping CSU win one of its biggest matches in school history… Also totaled four tournament victories in doubles… One was with her twin sister, Aina… Earned Mountain West Academic All-Conference honors.
MARQUETTE (2012-14): As a freshman in 2012-13, strung together an overall record of 13-4, while going 10-4 in dual matches… Saw action at the No. 4, 5 and 6 singles positions… Was a perfect 2-0 at the No. 4 spot… As a sophomore in 2013-14, also played at the No. 3 singles position (1-0) and all three doubles spots… Compiled an overall record of 15-19, including 8-9 in singles play and 7-10 in doubles… Earned a singles (Xavier) and doubles (Butler) victory at the 2014 BIG EAST tournament… Named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team as a freshman.
PRE-COLLEGIATE: Attended Menendez y Pelayo… Participated in numerous tennis tournaments as part of the Champion of Catlaunya, competing in both singles and doubles… Earned WTA points while playing in several national tournaments with Real Club de Barcelona (2007-12)… Was also an accomplished skier and gymnast, and was among the top 10 under-16 skiers in Spain.
PERSONAL: Born Sept. 29, 1994 in Barcelona, Spain... Parents are Albert and Imma Hernandez Soler... Has an identical twin sister, Aina, who also played for the CSU tennis program... Majoring in business administration.
