Brayden Herdic

Brayden Herdic came to Colorado State in January 2025 and will coach the safeties. Herdic spent the past six seasons at Western Kentucky, starting as a student assistant linebackers coach before moving to a defensive quality control personnel and an assistant with defensive backs and nickelbacks.
While on The Hill in 2022, Herdic assisted with a defensive backfield that ranked No. 3 in FBS with 19 interceptions, while leading the country with 32 total takeaways.
Prior to arriving on The Hill, Herdic spent the 2018 season at SEMO as a student assistant special teams coach. While coaching the specialists, the unit played a critical role in the program’s historic 9-4 record, as well as its second ever FCS Playoff appearance and first playoff victory.
Herdic started his coaching career at Eric CC in 2017 as a student assistant working with defensive backs in the fall of 2017 before moving to running backs in the spring of 2018. Herdic also served as Co-Special Teams Coordinator, Director of Football Operations, Equipment Manager and Video Coordinator.
