Kap Dede joined Steve Addazio's inital coaching staff in February 2020 and coaches the outside linebackers/nickelbacks in defensive coordinator Chuck Heater's scheme.

Dede, who earned his doctorate in Administration in Higher Education from Auburn University in 2012, owns 11 seasons of coaching experience - including four in the Southeastern Conference - and most recently served as an analyst at Arkansas (2019).

Prior to working for the Razorbacks, Dede had worked closely with one of the nation's top defensive coordinators, Todd Grantham, at multiple stops including as a defensive quality control coach at Florida (2018) and Mississippi State (2017). Before moving to Starkville, Dede worked under Grantham at Louisville for two seasons (2015-16).

A former player at Auburn, Dede was a member of Tiger teams that went a combined 41-10 and won or tied for three SEC West titles and won the 2004 SEC Championship. His Auburn teams also won the Citrus Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Cotton Bowl, and Music City Bowl. Noted for his work in the classroom as well, Dede was a three-time member of the All-SEC Academic team and, as a senior, was a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy - the academic Heisman - in 2006.

Dede enjoyed time in the NFL and CFL with the New York Giants and Montreal Allouettes before getting his start in coaching at Auburn High School before two seasons as a head coach for his high school, Woodbridge (Va.).
