Matt Mitchell
Matt Mitchell was hired in December of 2025 as the pass game coordinator / quarterbacks coach as part of Jim Mora’s inaugural staff, bringing years of experience working with quarterbacks.
 
Mitchell comes from BYU where he spent the past season as the assistant quarterbacks coach, helping with the development of Bear Bachmeier in his true freshman season. He was with the Cougars the three years prior in the role of offensive analyst for quarterbacks. He was also with the program in 2020 in that same role.
 
In 2021, he was at Baylor doing offensive quality control, holding a similar role at Notre Dame in 2015-16.
 
He spent a season as the Snow College offensive coordinator (2019), with two seasons at Western Kentucky (2017-18), first working with wide receivers as a graduate assistant before being elevated the WKY’s quarterbacks coach the second season.
