2012 (Freshman): Redshirted as a true freshman in his first season of college eligibility.
High School: A four-year letterman at Bainbridge (Ga.) High School, about 20 miles north of the Florida border, less than an hour from Tallahassee, served as his team[apos]s punter, kickoff and placement specialist...Connected on his last 52 extra-point attempts as a prep, and hit 91-of-95 overall...A team captain, sustained a season-ending knee injury in Game 2 of his senior campaign...Before the setback, in 2009, earned second-team All-America honors as a kicker (MaxPreps.com), and first-team all-state honors as a punter; as a junior, grossed 40.1 yards per punt with hangtimes averaging better than 4.2 seconds...Also as a junior in [apos]09, garnered first-team all-region recognition as a kicker and punter; connected on all 31 extra-point attempts, and seven of 12 field-goal tries, including 3-for-4 from 45 yards or longer...Hit a school-record 52-yard field goal in 2009 to beat BHS[apos] arch-rival, becoming one of just 16 individuals in Georgia history to hit an attempt of at least that length...Hangtimes resulted in only 26 total punt-return yards by his opponents in 2009...Voted Special Teams Player of the Year and Most Improved Player by his coaches and teammates in 2009...Was honorable-mention all-region as a kicker and punter in 2008...As a freshman in 2007, helped the Bearcats (9-4) to the third round of the Georgia Class 4A state playoffs...Head football coaches were Ed Pilcher and Ricky Woods...Also lettered three years in soccer...Owned a 3.5 GPA in high school.
