Nick Eaton, 23, is in his first season as the Rams[apos] offensive quality-control assistant. He rejoined the CSU football staff prior to 2011 spring practice.
A former CSU tight end, Eaton redshirted as a true freshman in 2006 before injury ended his career on the eve of the `07 season-opener.
A three-year starter at Loveland (Colo.) High School, he earned all-conference and all-area recognition in both 2004 and 2005, in addition to all-state honors as a senior. He helped Loveland to the Class 4A state title in 2003. He also garnered first-team academic all-state accolades on two occasions.
Born in Fort Collins, Eaton graduated from CSU in 2010 with a degree in liberal arts and a minor in business. He has taken graduate sports administration courses at Gonzaga and has been accepted into the CSU graduate program, with plans to pursue a degree in education.
