2014 (Junior):

  • Named first-team all-Mountain West by vote of coaches and media... Played in all 13 games and started 10, hauling in 30 receptions for 279 yards and four touchdowns
  • 24-yard touchdown catch at Boise State (Sept. 6) was his first collegiate touchdown... finished the game with five receptions for 55 yards
  • Caught a 20-yard touchdown pass against UC Davis (Sept. 13)
  • Six receptions for a career-high 67 yards in a win at Boston College (Sept. 27), earning him John Mackey Award Tight End of the Week honorable mention
  • Hauled in five catches for 48 yards and a touchdown in a win over Nevada (Oct. 11)
  • Pulled down two receptions for 31 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown catch, vs. Hawai’i (Nov. 8)
  • Earned a first-team spot on Phil Steele’s mid-season All-Mountain West list

Junior College (2012-13):
  • Attended Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan., where he earned his associates of arts degree in one-and-a-half years.
  • As a sophomore in 2013, caught 12 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns, which earned him All-Jayhawk Conference honors and second-team NJCAA All-American.
  • As a freshman in 2012 his Grizzlies reached the NJCAA National Championship game before falling to Iowa Western.
  • In the classroom earned All-Jayhawk Conference academic honors in 2013.
  • Head football coach was Troy Morrell.

High School:
  • Earned six varsity letters at Heights High School in Wichita, Kan., including three with the Falcons’ football program.
  • Compiled a 33-6 record in his three varsity seasons, advancing to the 6A Kansas championship game all three years and winning it in 2010.
  • Named first-team All-Kansas as a senior.
  • A leader on the Falcons’ offensive line that produced three 1,000-yard rushers in 2011, and averaged 348.7 rushing yards per game.
  • Posted an undefeated 7-0 record in Greater Wichita City district play in 2010 and 2011.
  • Also wrestled and ran track at Heights.
