Was a standout in the Chicago Area at York High School in Elmhurst, Ill. ... Completed a high-scoring prep career with scholarship offers from 11 Division I programs, choosing Colorado State over Bradley, Drake, Illinois State, Northern Illinois, Saint Louis, Santa Clara, UIC, Valparaiso, William & Mary and Wright State...As a senior, helped the Dukes to a 21-7 overall record and an 8-4 mark in league play...Averaged 22 points and five rebounds per games as a junior in 2011-12, and set a school single-game scoring record with 47 points during the season...Also shot better than 50 percent from beyond the arc during his high school career...Was an all-state selection both his junior and senior seasons and was named to the Chicago Sun-Time[apos]s all-area team which honors the top 20 players in Chicago...
