2011 (Freshman): Placed 23rd in the shot put and 17th in the weight throw at the MW indoor championships (Feb. 26)...Took fourth in the shot put at the Front Range championships (May 1)...Came in sixth in the discus throw at the Cal State LA Twilight Open (April 14).
High School: Runner-up in the discus throw at the 2009 Class 6A Kansas state championships, and claimed third place in 2008...State qualifier in the shot put.Took fourth in the young women[apos]s discus at the 2009 AAU national championships.
Personal: Born Oct. 25, 1991, to Rick and Shelly Richards...Mother ran track at Kansas...She has yet to declare a major.
