Ashley Reid is now in her second season as Colorado State's track & field director of operations, while also coaching the horizontal jumps.
In her first year of coaching at Colorado State, Reid led three qualifiers to the NCAA West Preliminary Round, six outdoor all-conference athletes, and five indoor all-conference athletes. Reid was an integral part of Colorado State's journey to winning both the men's and women's outdoor Mountain West team championships in 2015. Additionally, she coached triple jumper Jonathan Edmunds to the best mark in Colorado State outdoor history (50-10), though it isn't the school record due to wind aid.
An all-conference honoree in the high jump, Reid was a national qualifier in the high jump and triple jump, earning honorable mention All-America honors in the high jump in 2013. She holds a spot in the CSU record book, with the third highest women's indoor high jump in school history at 5 feet, 10.5 inches. She also ranks fifth all-time in the triple jump at 40-4.75. Reid was a two-time academic all-Mountain West recipient, as well as a member of the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association's all-academic team.
In 2014, Ashley won the prestigious Wilma Rudolph Award for displaying great perseverance to overcome tremendous adversity that threatened to derail both her academic and athletic career. The Las Vegas native has USTFCCCA Technical Certification and was also named Colorado State's 2014 Fum McGraw Award co-recipient, which is presented to the most outstanding overall student-athlete who embodies academic and athletic excellence, character, leadership, service, concern for others and unwavering Ram pride.
