    Volunteer Assistant Coach - Jumps

Jason Smith joins the Colorado State track and field program for the 2020-21 season helping with the jumps and multis, but he is not new to the program. Smith first came on as a volunteer coach in 2010-11 and coached through the 2018 season working with sprints, hurdles, relays, and jumps. Prior to that, Smith performed in the Green and Gold as a two-sport athlete while attending Colorado State for his undergraduate career. Jason is currently ranked 12th in school history in the triple jump. When not on the track, he served as the placekicker for the football program, and currently holds the most accurate field-goal percentage in school history.

Jason works for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is originally from Centennial, Colorado, and attended Arapahoe High School.
