2011 (Junior): Placed 15th in the 1,500-meter run at the Front Range Championships (May 1), with a time of 4:22.08...Earned another 15th-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Air Force Invitational (Feb. 12), finishing in 2:03.17.

2010 (Sophomore): Finished third in the 1,500-meter run at the Colorado State-Pueblo Open (March 28) in a time of 4:06.91...Took sixth in the 1,500-meter race at the Jack Christiansen Invite (May 8) and 19th in the same event at the University of Colorado Invitational (April 10)...Also recorded a 24th-place finish in the 800-meter run at the University of Colorado Invitational (April 10) with a time of 2:02.16.

2009 (Sophomore): Damon began the indoor season at the Air Force Indoor All-Comers Meet (Jan. 16) where he finished second in the mile run (4:35.06). He also recorded a first-place finish in the mile (4:32.49) at the Air Force Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 13).

2008 (Freshman): Damon attended the University of Portland, where he finished seventh in the mile (4:38.83) at the Great NW Classic (Feb. 8).

High School: Damon lettered in both cross country and track while attending Thompson Valley High School in Loveland, Colo. He was named all-Northern Conference in track in 2006 and in cross country in 2007, and all-state in track in 2006. He was named cross country team MVP in 2007. He holds the school 4x800-meter record (7:51), set in 2007. He was named academic all-state in both cross country and track in 2006 and 2007.

Personal: Damon was born April 20, 1989, to Byron and Debra Austin. He has three brothers, Ryan, Devin and Sean. He is majoring in health and exercise science.
