2011 (Junior): Set a personal record in the 60-meter hurdles at the Air Force Invitational (Feb. 12), finishing 24th in 9.34...Placed ninth in the 100-meter hurdles at the Front Range championships (May 1), clocking in at 14.89...Took 12th in the 60-meter hurdles at the Potts Indoor Invite (Jan 22), with a time of 9.68.
2010 (Sophomore): Recorded a 17th-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles at the Tom Benich Track and Field Classic (April 3)...Scored at the Jack Christiansen Invite (May 8) after placing fifth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.46 seconds.
2009 (Hastings College): Katelyn was an NAIA national qualifier in the 60-meter hurdles in her freshman season.
High School: Katelyn earned letters in four sports, cheer, volleyball, basketball and track, while attending Platte Canyon High School in Bailey, Colo. She received all-state honors three years in cheer and four years in track. She was captain of the track and cheer teams in her senior season and received the team MVP award in track the same season. She was part of a state championship track team in 2005 and finished second in the state in the 100-meter hurdles three straight years from her sophomore to senior seasons.
Personal: Katelyn was born July 28, 1990, to Guy and Kammy Houghton in St. Paul, Minn. She has an older sister, Krystal, and a younger sister, Grace. She is majoring in biomedical science.
