2010 (Sophomore): Earned a fourth-place finish at the Colorado State-Pueblo Open (March 28) in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.25... Placed 12th in the 800-meter run at the Tom Benich Track and Field Classic (April 3) ...Finished second in the 800-meter run at the Jack Christiansen Invite (May 8).
High School: Tyler was a three-sport athlete at Thompson Valley High School in Loveland, Colo., lettering in football, basketball and track. He received all-state honors in all three sports during his tenure.
Personal: Tyler was born Sept. 26, 1988, to Gregg and Jean Short in Loveland, Colo. He has a sister, Lisa. He is majoring in construction management.
