Head Coach Emily Kohan and the Colorado State volleyball team announced Anderson as an addition to the staff in December of 2022.

Anderson rejoins the Colorado State coaching staff as she was a volunteer assistant coach for the Rams from August 2020 until December 2021.

After graduating from the University of Oregon in 2010 with a degree in Business Administration, Anderson (Newcombe) continued her volleyball career playing professionally, overseas for 12 years. During that time, she played for teams in 10 different countries including Brazil, Italy, Turkey and China, as well as competing in the prestigious European Champions League.  She won multiple international championships, including most notably, the South American Championship with her team in Brazil.

Anderson also represented Team USA for four years during her professional career, from 2014-2017. As a starter for Team USA, she helped lead the team to a gold medal at the 2017 Pan American Cup and silver medals at the 2015 Pan American Cup.

Within those 12 years of playing professionally, Anderson was in and out of the coaching world as she spent the 2018 NCAA volleyball season at her alma mater, Oregon, as an interim assistant coach. Anderson has also been involved in coaching camps both at Oregon and Colorado State in addition to offering private coaching lessons since 2020. Through those experiences, she worked on her ability to meet one on one with players and share her experiences and expertise around the sport of volleyball.

At the University of Oregon, Anderson (Newcombe) was a 4 year team captain that led the Ducks to four-straight NCAA Tournament appearances including the program's first since 1989. She earned All-American honors in her junior and Senior seasons and broke the all-time points record for the Ducks. In 2021, Anderson was inducted to the University of Oregon Sport Hall of Fame.

Anderson married her husband, Kyle, in 2010 and they recently had their first son together, Owen, in April of 2023.
