Jim Henry, a 1940 graduate of Colorado State, dedicated his time and energy to CSU as one of the finest and most outstanding alumni in the history of the school. A well-respected husband, father and farmer, Henry was instrumental in many services for CSU. Named the Alumni of the Century in 2000 and winner of the 1985 Charles A. Lory Public Service Award, Henry and his wife Nadine were an instrumental part of CSU athletics. An annual award is given to distinguished alumni who support and celebrate CSU athletics in Jim and his wife Nadine’s name. The Jim and Nadine Henry Award is the third highest alumni award a CSU alumnus can receive. Jim Henry died on April 26, 2006 at the age of 88.
