B.C. "Bo" Cowel

Induction:
1998

Bo Cowel is the first recipient of the “Hall of Honor” citation for his contributions to Colorado State University athletics. Cowel came to CSU in 1946 as a physical education instructor and served in that position until 1972. He was instrumental in the development and implementation of the CSU intramural program, which has been used as a model by many schools nationally. One of the CSU intramural fields is named in Cowel’s honor.
