Women's Basketball Falls To UNLV

The Colorado State women?s basketball team lost a 92-87 decision to the UNLV Lady Rebels tonight to fall to 10-6 on the season and 1-2 in Mountain West Conference play. UNLV improves to 13-2 overall and 2-0 in league action.
Colorado State was led by sophomore forward Melissa Dennett with a career-high 28 points and seven rebounds. Senior forward Joy Jenkins scored 14 points, freshman forward Kylee O?Dwyer added 11 points and sophomore center Lindsay Thomas chipped in 10 points in the loss. Senior guard Jasai Ferrucho had a career-high 10 assists on the evening and O?Dwyer sunk a career-high three three-pointers.
UNLV was led by sophomore guard Sheena Moore with 21 points, while InFini Robinson and RanDee Henry both scored 17 points and Sherry McCracklin added 16 points. McCracklin also led all players with nine rebounds and Moore had a team-high seven assists.
The Rams were whistled for 32 fouls in the game and sophomore guard Vanessa Espinoza, Jenkins and freshman center Marilyn Moulton all fouled out of the game. The Rams also had 21 turnovers in the contest, compared to just 12 for the Lady Rebels.
Colorado State out-rebounded the Lady Rebels, 37-33, marking only the third time this season UNLV has been out-rebounded in a game this year.
Colorado State will face San Diego State on Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m. Pacific. The Aztecs fell earlier this evening to Wyoming, 71-60 in San Diego.
