Ram Golf in 11th After Two Rounds at The Nelson

The Colorado State men?s golf team is in 11th place after two rounds of The Nelson played at Stanford Golf Club in Stanford, Calif.
Derrick Whiting shot a one-over-par 70 in the second round to lead the Rams with a 141 in the tournament, leaving him in a tie for 19th overall. Teammate John Hayes matched Whiting?s 70 on Saturday and is in 39th place individually (144) with one round to play.
Kevin McAlpine is in 47th with a 145 while Nate Pettitt and Aaron Weston finished two rounds with scores of 151 and 152, respectively.
The Rams have a two-day team total of 577, 31 strokes off the leader, New Mexico. The Lobos? Spencer Levin leads the individual standings with an eight-under 130.
The Nelson concludes with the third round on Sunday.
