Martin Finishes In Second, Rams Place Sixth

Colorado State senior Nolan Martin shot a final round of 64, to jump to a second place finish at the John Burns Intercollegiate in Wahiawa, Hawai?i. Martin's 64 ties the school record for lowest single round score, Martin Laird is the only other golfer to ever do so.
The Rams finished in a tie for sixth place with a score of 849. Arizona won the tournament with am 833. Only 13 strokes separated second from eighth.
Senior Martin Laird also played well for the Rams shooting a 5-under-par 211. Kevin McAlpine was the only other Ram under par with a 213. McAlpine finished in a tie for 33rd.
Rounding out the field for the Rams was John Hayes who shot a 223 and Hamilton Wheeler who posted a 230.
The Rams will return to action next at the Steve Kerr Invitational in Buckeye, Ariz.
