Day One At Drake Goes Well

A quartet of Colorado State runners competed in the first day of the Drake Relays in Des Moines Thursday evening.
Sophomore Matt Cianciulli started the Rams off with a sixth place finish in the 5000 meters, running a time of 14:34.38, which is a personal best time for him.
Senior Jennifer Kintzley competed in the women?s 10,000 meters, placing third with a time of 36:05.63. Both junior Josh Glaab and senior Dylan Olchin ran in the men?s 10,000 meters, taking the top two spots, respectivley. Glaab won the event with a time of 29:41.72, while Olchin finished in 29:58.30.
Glaab ran the fastest winning time at the Drake Relays since Holt of Oklahoma won the 10,000 in 29:29.5. "This is my first time running the Drake Relays... it's awesome, it's great that there aren't just track people here. There are other people here that get into it...It's a good time for myself. I was hoping to go faster. The weather just couldn't be better for a race like this."
Several others will be in competition tomorrow at the Drake Relays, while the majority of the team will compete on Saturday in the Jack Christiansen Invitational in Fort Collins.
