Kiger Earns Scholarship

Colorado State athletic media relations student-assistant Nick Kiger was today awarded an undergraduate scholarship from CoSIDA for 2004-05.

Kiger, a senior in the athletic media relations office, is responsible for men?s and women?s golf and assists with football, volleyball and men?s and women?s basketball. Kiger was one of two students in the nation to win the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Undergraduate Scholarship.

Two $2,500 scholarships are awarded every season and Kiger becomes the first winner from Colorado State. To be eligible, a student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00, be at least a junior in academic standing and have a solid interest in pursuing a career in sports information.

Kiger is working this summer as an intern with the USA Swimming Media Office in Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Center and has also worked as an intern with the International Golf Tournament.
