Ten teams post perfect APRs for 2024-25
FORT COLLINS  – The annual Academic Progress Rate report was issued on Tuesday, once again showing Colorado State's athletic programs excelling the classroom space, with four posting perfect multi-year scores and 10 for the 2024-25 season. It marks an improvement from last year's report, where nine programs were perfect.
Â
The athletic department's four-year and single-season averages remained at 989 for a second consecutive year.
Â
The multi-year report dates back to the 2021-22 season, with women's basketball, swimming and diving and tennis remaining perfect in category, with soccer joining the list. For women's basketball, it was the second year with a perfect multi-year report, with swimming and diving's streak stretching back to 21-22 and tennis' starting in 20-21. In addition to those four teams, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track, softball and volleyball had perfect scores for the year.
Â
For the year, 12 of the program's ranked above the national average in Division I.
Â
The APR, created to provide more of a real-time measurement of academic success than graduation rates offer, is a team-based metric in which scholarship student-athletes earn 1 point each term for remaining eligible and 1 point for staying in school or graduating.
Every Division I sports team submits data to have its Academic Progress Rate calculated each academic year. The NCAA reports both single-year and four-year rates, on which penalties for poor academic performance are based. National aggregates are based on all teams with usable, member-provided data. APRs for each team, lists of teams receiving public recognition and those receiving sanctions are available online.
