Ram Women Drop Conference Opener

The Colorado State women's basketball team fell to Utah in Salt Lake City by a score of 68-50. The game was the first of the Mountain West Conference season for both teams.
The Rams (9-5, 0-1 MWC) were led in scoring by Lindsay Thoams with 12 points. The only other player in double figures for the Rams was junior Melissa Dennett with 10 points.
Colorado State was trailing 24-30 when they fell victim to back-to-back three pointers by Lana Stitterud to close the half on a 6-0 Utah run.
The Rams were outrebounded 37-33 in the game and 18-10 in the second half. Colorado State has not won a game this season when being outrebounded.
Colorado State will travel to Provo, Utah to play Brigham Young on Saturday at 4 p.m. MT.
