Andersen Advances in the ITA Central Region Championships

Colorado State's women's tennis team finished the second day of the ITA Central Region Championships in Salt Lake City.

Anne Andersen came out victorious in singles play defeating Jill Palen of Iowa State 6-2, 6-2. Emily Kirchem played a tough match against Colorado's Jessica Vanderdys, but lost 6-2, 5-7, 6-1.

In doubles play, New Mexico State's Nicole Fintell and Isabelle Mignot defeated Andersen and Kirchem 8-6. Carla Pallares and Lauren Strasburger lost to Zuzanna Osinska and Iryna Tkachenko of Oklahoma State 8-0.

Andersen will continue singles play today in the round of 32 players.
