Women's Golf Finishes 11th in the Heather Farr Invitational

Broomfield, Colo. - The Colorado State women's golf team registered a third-round 310 en route to an 11th place finish in the University of Colorado/Heather Farr Memorial Invitational Tuesday in Broomfield.
The Rams, who were in 11th coming into the final round, were led by sophomore Megan Chapman who carded a third-round 80 to finish in a tie for 23rd with a 228. Chelsea Benton posted a 77 on Tuesday putting her in a tie for 33rd for the tournament with a 230.
CSU freshman Kelly Brotherton had the Rams' best round of the day with a four-over 76 improving her position to 45th overall with a three-round total of 234 while Amber Ward carded a 77 in the final round putting her in a tie for 57th with a 237. Krystina Gillenwater had a 242 for the tournament and Stefanie Ferguson, competing as an individual, came in with a 239 and a tie for 65th.
The University of Denver claimed top team honors in the tournament with an 884 while Pioneer golfer Emily Hoeper took home individual honors with a one-under 215.
Colorado State will compete again on Oct. 17-18 in the Give Em' Five Tournament in Las Cruces, N.M.
