The Colorado State track & field teams today announced the signing of three more student-athletes to National Letters of Intents, bringing the total this fall to six. Both will enroll at the university in the fall of 2006.

Doug Dieker, Decathlete, Parker, Colo., Ponderosa High School

Doug is a three sport athlete at Ponderosa, earning one letter in basketball, three in football and four in track and field. He has been named all-conference in both football and track and last season, was fifth at the state championship in the pole vault. He is also a member of the National Honor Society

"Doug is a great addition to our decathlon program at CSU," said multis coach Lindsey Malone. His strengths for the decathlon are the high jump, 400 meters and pole vault. I am excited to see what Doug will be able to accomplish as a decathlete at Colorado State University."

Brittany Stephens, Sprints, Denver, Colo., Montbello High School

Brittany has helped lead Montbello to the last two state championships. She was third at state in the 400 meters last season and also helped the 800 medley relay and 4x200 meter relay teams to second place finishes. As a sophomore, the 4x400 meter relay team placed fourth. She also ranks fifth out of the 275 seniors at Montbello and is a four-year honor roll selection.

"Brittany is a very good athlete as well as a great student," said sprints coach Tim Cawley. "We're very excited to see her reach her full potential. She will fit in very well with the Colorado State team and will make immediate contributions."

Cole Tucker, Sprints, Rapid City, S.D., Rapid City Central High School

Cole is a two-time state champion in the 400 meters that also ranks in the top 15% of his graduating class. He was also the anchor leg on the state-champion 4x400 meter relay team and finished second in the 200 meters and third in the 100 meters as a junior.

"Cole will be a great addition to the sprinters already at Colorado State," said Cawley. "He has a great work ethic and is a very good student. It's exciting to see what he will add when he arrives on campus next fall."
