Ram Tennis travels to Utah
The Colorado State women?s tennis team travels to Utah this weekend to try to improve on its 8-2 record this season. They will face two MWC opponents and one non-conference foe during the trip. The weekend starts against Utah State on Thursday. The Aggies are currently 6-7 including a win over Idaho State 7-0. The Rams also swept Idaho State 7-0 last week. CSU is 6-2 all-time against the Aggies. On Friday, Ram tennis visits No. 22 BYU for the first MWC match of the season. The Rams are 0-7 all-time against BYU?s Cougars who are13-3 for the dual season. All of BYU?s losses came from teams ranked 25th or higher nationally. To finish the weekend?s play, CSU travels to Salt Lake City, Utah where they face the Utah Utes. The Utes are 9-7 this season and are 3-9 all-time against the Rams. ?The match against the Utes will be a hard-fought match,? Coach Jon Messick said. ?We beat them here last year, so it will be tough to go beat them there this year.?
Colorado State Tennis Comes Home with a Perfect 4-0 Record
The Rams finished their most recent week of play 4-0 at the Dual in the Desert in Las Vegas, Nev., hosted by Southern Utah. Colorado State dominated the week beating all teams 7-0. Alex Paganetti, Jasmin Singh, Carla Pallares, Jessica Jones, and Dasha Zhurin all claimed victories by not losing a game in at least one match.
