Two Records Fall In Final Meet

In the final meet of the season before the NCAA Championships, the Colorado State indoor track and field team saw two records fall at the Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.
Senior John Woods won the 60 meter dash with a school record and NCAA provisional qualifying time of 6.63. He breaks his own record of 6.66 from earlier this season and ranks among the top five in the nation this season. Woods also ties the Mountain West Conference record held by Kenneth Andam of BYU from 2000.
Senior Mike Nicks finished third and broke the school record in the 3000 meters with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 7:59.34. He breaks the school record of 8:01.14 held by Bryan Berryhill from 2001. His time ranks among the top 20 in the nation this season.
Junior Jill McCormick finished third in the weight throw late Friday night with a throw of 61-7.5, while senior Josh Glaab ran an 8:11.36 in the 3000 meters to finish 14th and junior Danielle Korb placed eighth in the mile with a time of 4:48.62.
