Only two players broke par in the 54-hole event, as UNLV won the wind-filled tournament with a 7-over 859. Only two players in 79-man field broke par. The Rebels shot a tournament-best 10-under 274 in the opening round, but no team shot better than 284 the rest of the tournament.
Kipp Riehle, playing as an individual, shot a 7-under 206 to become the first Arizona Wildcat to win the title. It marked the highest score by a champion since Brandon Ditullio of UCLA shot 5-under 211 in 1998.
The Rams will have a week off from competition before they head to Provo, Utah, on April 22-23 to compete in the 2005 Cougar Classic hosted by BYU.
