Women's Golf Places 15th at NCAA Regional

The Colorado State women's golf team finished in 15th place after carding a 24-over-par 312 in the final round of the NCAA West Regional Tournament in Las Cruces, N.M., Sunday.
The Rams, who entered the final day in 12th place, were led by a four-over 76 by senior Lynette Duran who finished tied for 73rd with a three-day total of 235.
Kristen Campos led CSU for the tournament carding a 13-over 329 and finishing in a tie for 40th for the weekend. Campos shot a final-round 81 on Sunday.
Trisha Quick finished the tournament tied for 48th with a 15-over 231 after a round of 81 on Sunday. Margaret Garehime posted a 21-over 237 to finish in a tie for 81st while freshman Chelsea Benton carded a three-round score of 247.
CSU's 15th place finish ties their second-best finish in an NCAA Regional in the program's history.
UCLA and Tennessee tied for team honors with each team posting a 25-over 889 for the event while California's Sophia Sheridan captured the individual title with a four-under 212.
