Baylor Wins, Rams Fifth at Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic

The Baylor women's golf team claimed top honors with a five-under-par 859 in the 2005 Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic in Fort Collins Tuesday.
Sian Reddick and Josefin Svenningsson, both of Baylor, tied for top individual honors in the event each scoring a six-under 210 for the three-round event. Kansas' Amanda Costner finished third with a four-under 212 including a 69 in Tuesday's third round.
Colorado State finished the tournament in fifth place as a team with a 29-over 893 led by freshman Krystina Gillenwater who fired a four-over 220 to tie for 14th overall. Sophomores Chelsea Benton and Megan Chapman posted scores of 224 and 226 finishing in ties for 21st and 30th, respectively while freshman Stefanie Ferguson had a 227 to come in tied for 33rd. Frosh Karen Wanersdorfer had a 242 to round out CSU's scoring in the tournament.
The Rams will next be in action September 26-28 when they travel to Albuquerque, N.M., to compete in the Dick McGuire Invitational.
