Women's Golf Team Completes Second Round of Tournament

After the second round of the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, the Colorado State University women's golf team is in a tie for 13th place. Pepperdine and Texas A&M are tied for the top spot on the leaderboard after 36 holes. The Rams shot 18 over par for the day and their team score for the tournament is 612.
Leading CSU for the second day in a row is sophomore Chelsea Benton. Benton is tied for 30th after shooting a five-over-par 78 in the second round. Megan Chapman is tied for 35th place with a four-over-par 77 after 36 holes. Coming in behind Chapman for the Rams is Amber Ward, who is tied for 41st place. Ward improved on her score from yesterday by a stroke, shooting a three-under-par 76. Krystina Gillenwater shot 79 (+6) for the second day in a row and Stephanie Ferguson scored an 83 (+10) in the second round.
Colorado State is set to tee-off for the final round of the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational tomorrow morning. Next up for the Rams is the Heather Farr/CU Memorial in Broomfield, Colo. on October 3-4.
