On the Next Tee...
The Colorado State women's golf team heads to Broomfield, Colo. for the Heather Farr/CU Memorial Tournament. The University of Colorado hosts the 18-team tournament that will feature 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday at the 6,236-yard par 72 Omni Interlocken Golf Club.

2004 Heather Farr/CU Memorial
The Rams had a great showing at last year's Heather Farr/CU Memorial, finishing in a tie for second place. Trisha Quick, currently an assistant coach for CSU, led the team with a three-over-par 75 final round to finish with a two-day total of 150. She finished in a tie for eighth place for the tournament. Chelsea Benton ended the tournament in a tie for 13th with a total score of 152. Last year's tournament was the first collegiate golf appearance for Megan Chapman who shot a 161 in two rounds. The tournament was won by San Jose State while Spartan Carmina Calle claimed individual honors with a 141.

The Field
The 18-team field for the Heather Farr/CU Memorial includes Colorado, Colorado State, Idaho, New Mexico State, Oregon State, Washington State, Denver, Weber State, Nevada, Fresno State, Eastern Washington, Boise State, Gonzaga, San Jose State, Cal State Northridge, Portland State, Wyoming and Montana State.

Rams Finish 14th at Dick McGuire Invitational
The Rams played the third and final round of the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. on September 28. At the end of the 54 holes, Colorado State was in 14th place. The Pepperdine Waves came in first with Texas A&M a close second.

The top finisher for the Rams was Chelsea Benton. Benton shot a 222 for the three rounds and finished in a tie for 21st place. Amber Ward was next on the leaderboard for the Rams. Ward shot a 231 for the tournament and was placed in a tie for 59th. Megan Chapman was just a stroke behind Ward, shooting a 232 and finishing in a tie for 62nd place. Rounding out the roster for the CSU were Krystina Gillenwater who shot a 239 and Stefanie Ferguson who scored a 243.
