The Colorado State track and field team finished second behind host Nebraska at the Nebraska Triangular this afternoon. The Husker men tallied 120.5 points, while the men had 120 and the Ram women scored 128.5 behind the Huskers 148.5. Kent State was third on both sides.

Junior Janay DeLoach won both the 60 meters and the long jump for the third straight week, and she also finished second in the 200, running it for the first time this season. Senior Jill McCormick improved upon her NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the weight throw for the third straight week, throwing a personal best 66-8.5 to win her third straight meet. McCormick also placed fourth in the shot put, throwing a season best 46-10. Senior Amanda Huddleston-Miller won the triple jump with a season best leap of 39-7.25, while junior Stacy Hancock finished second with a personal best jump of 36-11. Junior Danielle Korb and Kristen Hemphill swept the top two places in the mile, with Korb crossing the finish line in 4:53.97. The Ram women also took the top two spots in the 3000 meters, with Nicole Feest winning her first race of the year and April Thomas right behind her.

Senior Rob Watson and sophomore Logan Sherman swept the top two spots in the 5000 meters, with Watson clocking a 14:46.91. Junior Drew Morano was a double champion, winning both the 200 and 400 meters for the Rams, running season best times in both events. Freshman Kyle Keeler was also a champion, winning the 600 yards with a time of 1:12.07, while sophomore Jeff Wahl was victorious in the 3000 meters, crossing the finish line in 8:38.13. The men's 4x400 relay team consisting of Keeler, Morano, Justin Hazzard and Dylan Spitzer won the final event of the day, clocking a 3:16.56.

Colorado State heads south next weekend to compete in the Air Force Invitational on both Friday and Saturday. Events on Friday begin at noon, while action gets underway at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
