Three students from Windsor School District and three students from Poudre School District will be presented with a plaque and recognized during this weekend's CSU Homecoming football game for the Poudre Valley REA "High Energy Student of the Game" program. Students are selected by each participating school based on their energy in and out of the classroom. This weekend's recipients are:
Rudy Villafana, a 3rd grader from Grandview Elementary, "is an excellent model for being respectful, responsible, and fun to be around." He demonstrates great manners and is kind to everyone he meets. He always has a positive attitude and is a dedicated student in the classroom.
Marc Romero, a 2nd grader from Putnam Elementary, was selected because "he shows Putnam P.R.I.D.E. (Positive Attitude, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence Everyday)." His strong character and excellent effort shows in his classes and the sports he participates in.
Shane Wagner, from McGraw Elementary, exemplifies the meaning of sportsmanship with his honesty, trustworthiness, and honorable character. Shane always puts forth 100% on every school assignment and he performs every task with focus, zeal, and a smile. He also participates in many sports activities including the NFL Punt, Pass, & Kick competition and 3v3 soccer.
Austin Hunt, a 6th grader from Shepardson Elementary, is "an outstanding 6th grade role model." Austin is a leader in the classroom, a kind individual, and is always respectful to everyone. He has a positive attitude, sunny disposition, and a wonderful sense of humor.
Tony Carr, a 2nd grader from Windsor Charter Academy, is a very respectful student. He is also a very generous one, as he gave up his own coat for the Windsor Winter Coat drive. Tony takes his school seriously and sets great examples for other students to follow.
Congratulations to this weekend's recipients of the Poudre Valley REA "High Energy Student of the Game" program!
