Emily Kirchem has higest national ranking in school history at No. 85.

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced today that Colorado State's Emily Kirchem is ranked No. 85 in the national rankings. This is the highest ranking for Colorado State in women's tennis history and Kirchem's third time on the rankings list. She has previously been No. 122 and No. 120.

Kirchem, a junior from Fairview, Ore., became nationally ranked by defeating two ranked players, No. 21 Meg Racette of Iowa and No. 87 Nischela Reddy of Minnesota. She beat Racette in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0. Reddy lost to Kirchem in a tough 4-6,6-3,6-2 match.

Kirchem is 4-2 in singles and doubles dual play this season.
