A half-dozen Colorado State track & field athletes were in action today at the annual Alex Wilson Invitational on the campus of Notre Dame.
Junior Janay DeLoach placed fifth in the 60 meters and junior Megan Fox was 12th in the 400 meters. Freshman Kristen Hemphill finished 16th in the mile and sophomore Rebekah Yetzer was 17th in the 800 meters with a season best time of 2:14.31.
For the men, junior Rob Watson ran a personal best time of 8:06.09 to finish 13th in the 3000 meters and sophomore Steven Swartz posted a season-best time of 1:53.48 in the 800 meters to finish 17th.
Colorado State will now await word on athletes advancing to the NCAA Championship. Senior Jill McCormick is ranked among the top 10 in the weight throw and should advance, while DeLoach is on the bubble in the 60 meters.
