Benton Finishes Tied for 37th at NCAA West Regional

Auburn, Wash. - Colorado State's Chelsea Benton finished in a tie for 37th at the NCAA Division I Women's Golf West Regional with a final-round 78 Saturday at the Washington National Golf Club in Auburn, Wash. Benton finished the tournament with a three-day score of 230 (+14) in the 108-player field. She had rounds of 77, 75 and 78 in the three-day event.
Washington's Paige Mackenzie claimed top individual honors with a eight-under 208 while Purdue finished as the top team in the tournament with a 17-over 881.
The top eight teams (Purdue, UCLA, Washington, Stanford, Georgia, UNLV, Arizona and Arkansas) will move onto the NCAA Championships in Columbus, Ohio.
