Colorado State University women's golfers, Megan Chapman and Stefanie Ferguson, were named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team this week.
The NGCA recognized a total of 371 women's golfers from NCAA Division I, II and III for this prestigious honor. In order to be considered for the honor, a golfer must have a grade point average of 3.50 or better and, for Division I, have competed in at least half of her teams scheduled rounds for the 2005-06 season.
Chapman and Ferguson began the season with a bang, each carding single-round lows of 73 in the Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic to open the season. Chapman's best finish of the season was 19th at the Give 'Em Five Invitational in October. Ferguson's best finish of the season for the Rams came at the Mountain West Conference Championships where she carded a three-round 237 to finish 27th.
