Janay DeLoach Named Athlete of the Week

Colorado State senior Janay DeLoach, from Edwards AFB, Calif., was named the Mountain West Conference Indoor Track & Field Female Athlete of the Week.
DeLoach finished first in the long jump and was the first collegian (second overall) to cross the finish line in the 55-meter dash at the Wyoming Open. Her winning jump of 21'-0.75" (6.42m) set a new CSU school record and was the third-best leap in MWC history. Her mark is also an NCAA Championship automatic qualifying jump. In the 55-meter dash, DeLoach finished with a time of 7.02.
DeLoach will travel to Lincoln for the Nebraska Conference Challenge on Saturday with several of her teammates, while the rest of the Rams will be in Boulder on Friday for the Colorado Open.
