Drew Morano Named Athlete of the Week

Colorado State junior Drew Morano was named Mountain West Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week. This is Morano's first award.
Morano, from Paola, Kan., won both the 200 and 400-meter dash events at the Conference Challenge Meet in Lincoln, Neb., last week, setting new personal best times in both races in the process. His time of 47.25 in the 400 is the second fastest time in Ram school history, as well as the third fastest clocking in conference history, His time of 21.40 in the 200 is the fourth fastest in the CSU annals. His 400 time also provisionally qualifies Morano for the NCAA Championship.
Morano, and most of the Rams will be at the Don Barrett Air Force Open on Saturday, while the multi-eventers will compete Thursday-Friday at the Roger Cox Multis in Albquerque and several distance athletes will be at the adidas Classic in Lincoln on Saturday.
