Rams finish in a tie for fourth
Colorado State women's golf finished in a tie for fourth place at the University of Colorado Heather Farr Memorial in Broomfield, Colo., behind a third-place finish by junior Stefanie Ferguson. Ferguson finished the tournament 3-over-par, carding a final-round 73(+3). Her third-place finish marks the best in her career. Sophomore Natalie Stone tied for 20th place at 4-over-par, and sophomore Kasey Claussen finished in a tie for 34th at 5-over-par. Freshmen Kayley Kempton and Cecilia Edlund finished tied for 37th and 72nd, respectively. Kempton closed the tournament at 14-over-par, while Edlund finished at 24-over-par.

Colorado State ties for ninth place at Ron Moore The Rams finished the tournament with a three-round total of 915(+51). Stefanie Ferguson led the Rams, tying for 26th place at 11-over-par. Sophomore Kasey Claussen shot a three-round total of 228(+12) and tied for 30th place. Natalie Stone tied for 36th place with a score of 230(+14), while freshmen Kayley Kempton tied for 50th with a 234(+18) and Cecilia Edlund tied for 76th with 241(+25).
Colorado State ties for fifth place at Ptarmigan
The women's golf team began the 2007-08 season with the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic, hosted by Colorado State and Ptamarigan Country Club in Fort Collins, Colo. After two rounds, the Rams finished Day 1 tied for eighth place with San Jose State. The team posted a two-round score of 603(+27).
The Rams advanced three spots on the final day of the tournament to tie for fifth with San Jose State. Both teams finished with a team total of 898(+34). Stefanie Ferguson and Natalie Stone led the Rams, with Kasey Claussen finishing not far behind. Ferguson carded a final round 71(-1) and Stone shot a 74(+2) to finish with a three-round total of 224(+8) in a tie for 21st. Claussen tied for 29th after posting a 225(+9). Kayley Kempton (+17) and Cecilia Edlund (+18) tied for 49th and 55th, respectively.
The Rams tee off again on Monday at the Jeannie McHaney Invitational, hosted by Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. The tournament will be played on the Rawles course, a 7,207-yard, par-72 course, featuring a five-acre lake that spans three holes. Fourteen teams will be participating, and the 54-hole tournament will feature a shotgun start. Rounds 1 and 2 will be played on Monday, and Round 3 will be played on Tuesday with an anticipated finish in the afternoon.
The Colorado State women's golf team tied for ninth place in the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate at Highlands Ranch Golf Club in Highlands Ranch, Colo. The Rams ended Day 1 in a tie for 10th place with UNC-Wilmington at 32-over-par. A rain delay during the opening round resulted in suspension of the second round due to darkness, with two to five holes remaining for each team.
