The Colorado State women's golf team finished seventh in the Jeannine McHaney/Audrey Morehead Invitational in Lubbock, Texas on Tuesday. The Rams shot rounds of 320, 318 and 312 to finish with a team total of 950.
Freshman Kayley Kempton led the Rams, finishing the tournament in a tie for 9th place. Kempton improved her standing from Day 1, advancing three places, carding a 73 in the final round.
Sophomore Kasey Claussen and freshman Cecilia Edlund finished in a tie for 40th with totals of 242. Claussen shot rounds of 79-79-84, while Edlund had rounds of 85-79-78. Sophomore Natalie Stone carded a 79 in the third round, totaling 245 for the tournament and tying for 54th place. Junior Stefanie Ferguson tied for 56th place with a three-round total of 246 (80-84-82).
The Rams will be in action again at the Las Vegas Founders Collegiate Showdown in Las Vegas, Nev. on Oct. 29-30.
