Ram Golfers Place Fifth in Hawaii

Oahu, Hawaii - The Colorado State women's golf team posted a final-round 306 and finished in fifth place at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Club in Oahu, Hawai'i.
Senior Megan Chapman led the way for the Rams finishing in sixth place (79-74-73=226) while Chelsea Benton came in tied for 12th (77-73-78=228). Stefanie Ferguson came in 30th (81-77-79=237) and Kasey Claussen (81-76-83=240) and Amber Ward (84-80-76=240) tied for 40th.
Texas A&M claimed team honors with an 897, two strokes better than Arizona. Gerina Mendoza of Texas A&M claimed individual honors winning a playoff with UTEP's Danielle McVeigh. Each player recorded three-round totals of 217.
CSU will be in action next at the BYU Dixie Classic on April 3-4.
