CSU golf already benefitting from practice facility

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The mountain climate of Colorado typically hinders competitive golfing throughout the winter months. The Colorado State men’s and women’s golf teams have found the solution: practicing indoors.
Thanks to their new indoor practice facility, Harmony Golf Club, the Rams are able to practice 365 days a year.
The programs are already feeling the boost of the new million-dollar facility. Both programs are nationally ranked in the top 25 by Golfweek. The men’s program is ranked 18th in the nation and the women’s program is ranked 25th.
Since the addition of the facility in the 2007-08 season, the men have won four team tournament titles, including the Mountain West Conference championship, and dating back to the final two tournaments of 2007-08, the Colorado State women's golf team has captured four consecutive top 10 finishes.
Harmony Golf Club, located in Timnath, Colo., is a 3,000-square-foot complex. It includes three hitting bays that can be opened to hit onto the driving range or closed to hit into a net. The facility is also equipped with an indoor putting green, coaches’ offices and luxury locker rooms.
The facility is surrounded by a private short-game practice area complete with two greens, bunkers and plenty of chipping and pitching areas. Harmony Golf Club also features an 18-hole golf course designed by CSU alum Jim Engh.
